Adam Goldstein, aka DJ AM's death has been ruled an accidental overdose, not a suicide. This is according to the medical examiner today. He had quite a cocktail of drugs in his body.
Drugs in DJ AM's system:
- cocaine
- oxycontin
- vicodin
- zanax
- ativan
- klonopin
- benedryl
- levamisole
That's a lot of drugs. DJ AM had a show set to debut next month called
Gone Too Far on MTV. The show was to feature interventions for drug users. DJ AM and Travis Barker, of Blink-182 fame, were the only two people to survive a plane crash in 2008. DJ AM regularly acted as the DJ at events where famous people were in attendance. Levamisole was removed from the US market 2000, it is now used to cut cocaine. Klonopin is used to treat seizure disorders or panic disorders.
